Meet Our Incredible Social Workers
Melissa Long – Mountain Laurel Rehab
Melissa’s journey to social work began with dreams of becoming a special education teacher. Life took her on a different path, leading her to earn a Sociology degree and later a Master’s in Gerontology. Her passion for long-term care has made a tremendous impact on those she serves.
Joey Merindo – Bay Pointe Rehab
Joey is passionate about building lasting relationships with residents and their families. She believes that long-term care is about more than just support—it’s about guiding individuals through life’s transitions with empathy and care.
Mckenzie Bromwell – Northern Cardinal Rehab
With nearly six years of experience, McKenzie is a true advocate for her residents. Her dedication shines through in everything she does, making a difference in the lives of those she serves.
Jessica Land – Cypress Point Rehab
With over 17 years of experience, Jessica has dedicated her career to working with adults with disabilities and the elderly. She also runs Hype Hunchos, a nonprofit youth football and cheerleading organization, empowering young athletes. Currently pursuing her MSW, Jessica continues to expand her impact in social work.
Alice Jones – Nassawadox Rehab
With 30 years of experience in long-term care, Alice has dedicated her career to elder care. She believes in treating others with kindness and finds joy in the wisdom and humor of her residents.
Lamonte Mackey – Old Dominion Rehab
Lamonte’s journey in social work began in 2013, but his motivation comes from his grandmother’s words before she passed: “You’re doing exactly what you should be doing—helping people.” His dedication to making a difference continues to inspire us all.
