At Eastern Healthcare Group, CNA Week 2025 was more than a celebration. It was a heartfelt tribute to the compassionate, hardworking certified nursing assistants. These CNAs serve as the foundation of every building in our care network. From themed dress-up days and delicious meals to thoughtful gifts and creative activities, each of our communities found special ways to recognize the CNAs who make a difference every single day.
Sweet Starts and Tasty Treats
Across our locations, we kicked off the week with sweet surprises and warm welcomes. At Bay Pointe and Twin Lakes, our CNAs were greeted with an ice cream bar and sweet & salty snack tables to show just how much their dedication is appreciated. Blue Ridge, Star City, and Norview Heights followed suit with donut mornings, lemonade bars, and Chick-fil-A lunches, offering tasty ways to say “thank you.”
Dress-Up Days and Fun Activities
Fun and engaging activities filled the week. Mountain Laurel hosted themed dress-up days like PJ Day, Hippie Day, and Disney Day. These fun themes brought energy and joy to the halls. River Edge took it up a notch with Adam Sandler Day and Wacky Tacky Day, complete with banana splits, baked potatoes, and themed treats like zebra cakes. At Green Acres, CNA spirit came alive with walking tacos and bright, bold outfits for Wacky Tacky Day.
Shared Meals and Heartfelt Moments
Old Dominion, Thalia Gardens, and Nans Pointe kept the momentum going with country-themed lunches, line dancing, potato bars, and special breakfasts, while Birchwood Park, Seven Hills, and Northern Cardinal mixed in meaningful activities like painting, chair travel, and interactive games to keep spirits high among both residents and staff.
Community Support and Recognition
Several buildings also received support from community partners. Brook Love from First Care at Home Hospice, Ashley O’Dell from Access Home Health, and Casey Hines with Caris Hospice helped bring joy to our CNAs. They showed their support through refreshments, appreciation baskets, and warm visits. We’re grateful for their generosity and recognition of the critical role CNAs play.

Throughout every celebration, the focus remained the same. We honored the dedication, compassion, and tireless care our CNAs bring to their residents every day. From the smallest gesture to the biggest event, CNA Week at Eastern Healthcare Group was filled with love and appreciation.
